After completing a BSc (Hons) and MRes degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice – both at the University of Portsmouth – with a view of theorising State Crimes Against Democracy, I am now working on a fully-funded PhD in the aforementioned area of inquiry. In doing so, I am interacting with a number of publics, including scholars, academics and civil society organisations, in an attempt to ensure that the relevant fractions of the community are actively engaged with the theorising of a new area of study.

I teach the Level 5 unit Crimes of the Powerful, having as a particular focus the theorising of state criminality and State Crimes Against Democracy and the responses stemming from the civil society, including academia, government whistleblowers, (International) Non-Governmental Organisations, civil movements and the media.
